Phoenix Soars...
Will you?
It takes courage to spread your wings. We provide safe, judgement-free counselling to help you fly.

To my Valued Clients:
As COVID continues to present challenges with a potential second wave, we here at Phoenix Soars Counselling Services, understand that this can further impact concerns you have around your mental health. As always, it is our priority to continue to support you through the concerns you face.
As we face the potential of a second wave, we want you to be aware of some clinic changes you may expect to see. Between each client, the tables and chairs in our offices will be sanitized. Additionally, you will now see your therapists wearing either a mask or face shield. This is not only for our protection, but yours as well. The counsellors at Phoenix Soars, also function as trauma responders and therefore, do go on site to other businesses in response to critical incidents and crises.
In order to keep everyone healthy, we ask that you, too, come prepared to wear a mask or shield during the session. Additionally, we are asking that should you be experiencing coughing or sneezing or any other flu-like symptom that you reschedule your session and postpone your in person services until you are symptom free. As an alternative, we would love to be able to continue to support through ZOOM conferencing. Phoenix Soars is set up with Zoom conferencing which has a rigorous encryption policy keeping our visits confidential. Should you wish to continue through another platform, please don’t hesitate to chat with us about your preferences.
As always, please stay both physically and mentally healthy as we navigate through these uncharted territories. .

Kristie de Jong
M.A. CCC
Hello! Glad to meet you. My name is Kristie de Jong. I graduated from Trinity Western University in 2013 with my MA in Clinical Counselling. I have been a certified member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association since 2013.
My practice is most prominently focused around trauma. It is one of my greatest desires to restore freedom and innocence to those who have faced traumatic events; as such I have obtained certification in a trauma specific therapy – Observed and Experiential Integration (OEI). I am also currently training in Neurotherapy. I have found that because of the tendency of people to avoid discussing traumatic events, these therapies have proven to be the safest way to usher in healing and freedom.
Apart from professional pursuits, I am a single mother of 4 diverse and challenging children and one cat. I love photography and creative arts. Writing, singing and dancing are some of my favorite past times. Basking in the sun while reading a great book is my favourite form of self-care. I welcome you to come and have a chat with me!
